Publication Ethics
SIMANTECH Journal of Science and Technology is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. All parties involved in the publication process—editors, reviewers, and authors—are expected to adhere to the ethical standards set by the journal, based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
1. Responsibilities of Editors

Ensure a fair, unbiased, and timely peer-review process.

Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Make publication decisions based solely on scholarly merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Take appropriate action when ethical concerns arise regarding a submitted or published paper.
2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.

Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and refrain from using any of its content for personal advantage.

Disclose any conflicts of interest that might affect the objectivity of the review process.

Notify the editor if they identify any ethical issues such as plagiarism or data fabrication.
3. Responsibilities of Authors

Submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

Properly cite all references and acknowledge all sources of funding or support.

Avoid all forms of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, data falsification, and redundant publication.

Ensure that all listed authors have made significant contributions to the research and approved the final version of the manuscript.

Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
4. Plagiarism and Misconduct
All submissions are screened for plagiarism using appropriate software. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content or to involve any form of research misconduct will be rejected, and further action may be taken in accordance with COPE guidelines.
5. Retractions and Corrections
The journal will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as needed when significant errors or ethical violations are identified in published articles.
