All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—must comply with the following ethical responsibilities:

1. Responsibilities of the Editors

  • Ensure fair, objective, and timely editorial decisions based solely on academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not use any part of the content for personal gain.

  • Prevent and address all forms of academic misconduct, including plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and redundant publication.

  • Handle conflicts of interest transparently and ensure that decisions are free from any commercial or personal influence.

  • Ensure that the peer review process is rigorous, impartial, and free from bias.

2. Responsibilities of the Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

  • Maintain confidentiality and not share or discuss the manuscript with others unless authorized by the editor.

  • Declare any conflicts of interest that may affect the objectivity of their review.

  • Refrain from using privileged information obtained through the peer review process for personal or professional benefit.

  • Alert the editor to any potential ethical concerns, including plagiarism or substantial similarity with previously published work.

3. Responsibilities of the Authors

  • Submit original, unpublished work and ensure that the manuscript has not been submitted to another journal simultaneously.

  • Properly cite and acknowledge the work of others and avoid all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.

  • Present data accurately and honestly without fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research.

  • Ensure that all listed authors have significantly contributed to the research and agree to the submitted version of the manuscript.

  • Notify the editor promptly if a significant error is discovered after publication and cooperate in issuing corrections or retractions.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

  • Support the journal in maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing practices.

  • Ensure that the editorial team has full independence in making editorial decisions.

  • Facilitate the correction, clarification, retraction, or apology when necessary.

5. Handling of Misconduct

The journal will investigate all allegations of misconduct following COPE’s guidelines. In cases where ethical violations are confirmed, actions may include:

  • Rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript,

  • Publication of corrections or retractions,

  • Notification to authors’ institutions or funding bodies.
